2001 Kirk Sand Mahogany Model Electric Nylon String
Over the last four decades Kirk Sand has been one of the most innovative and successful American luthiers. His clientele is a veritable "who's who" of the guitar world, including such luminaries as Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, Richard Smith, Lenny Breau, Kevin Eubanks, Tommy Emmanuel, and many others.
This gorgeous electric nylon string features a high grade spruce top and mahogany back sides. Designed specifically for Chet Atkins as a lightweight alternative to his Gibson, this attractive instrument is especially well suited for life on the big stage. The RMC pickup has separate sensors for each string which allows for an unprecedented amount of control over your amplified sound. The pickup also allows this instrument to act as a MIDI controller. The built-in preamp has five top mounted sliders that control the EQ and the Midi functions of the pickup.
The amplified sound is among the best available to nylon strings players: rich and warm, with lots of detail and a natural, acoustic like response. The ergonomic neck profile and relatively short scale make a highly technical playing a breeze.
This guitar is excellent condition. There are a few small scratches on the top behind the bridge. Otherwise, the guitar looks new!
Give it a try and see why so many of the world's top players choose a Sand!
