I use this on a Godin 5th Avenue Acoustic.without having to cut a hole in my guitar. All I needed to do was search for the sweet spot on the neck position and the stagger the mounting height across Low to High E. Lace recommends 2.5mm to 1.5mm . I have 21mm free space between the bottom of the string to the top of the soundboard.

Nothing I have purchased from Djangobooks.com has ever disappointed. I needed a pickup for my backup guitar, a Gitane petit bouche. The Lace Ultra Slim was an economical choice, and the results exceeded my wildest expectation. I cut the points on the fret board and installed the pickup at the base of the neck, leaving the sound hole fully open. The sound is great. The pickup adds nothing and subtracts nothing. The amplified sound matches the acoustic sound to a 'T'. Highly recommended based on both quality and price.
