2014 Freschi 1910
This finely made 14 fret D hole was constructed by up and coming Italian luthier Mauro Freschi. Mauro's fine workmanship has caught the attention of many professionals, including the legendary Nous'che Rosenberg who is now an endorser. A wonderful mix of new and old, Mauro's guitars feature modern innovations such as a headstock accessible double action truss rod and an ergonomic D shaped neck while retaining many traditional features such as laminate back and sides, lacquered interior, and a zero fret. The result is a great sounding instrument that is both practical and affordable.
This guitar was constructed using a European spruce top, a mahogany neck, and beautifully figured santos rosewood back and sides. The hardware includes a set of handsome Schaller Classic Deluxe tuners and a high quality Maccaferri style tailpiece.
This guitar posses outstanding tonal qualities that one rarely finds
in one instrument! It has the body and depth you'd expect of a D hole
while simultaneously producing bright, shimmery highs that allow your
leads to cut like a knife. I'm particularly fond of the mid-range which
has a focused, horn like quality that adds richness to chordal playing
and leads alike. I should also mention that this guitar is very loud! It
projects beautifully, a quality that will see you through those
raucous campfire jams with ease.
