DjangoBooks/Gitane DG-270
Pros: Great communication, Fast Shipping
Cons: None
Michael from DjangoBooks.com, provides Top Level customer service. I had wanted a Gitane with Maple back/sides, but Mahogany or Walnut neck. The only thing that came close was the DG-250M. Unfortunately the 250M had a Small Maple neck, which cuts through, but lacked Depth. I had singed up for the DjangoBooks.com newsletter, and was surprised to learn through the newsletter, that not only had Gitane made a limited run Maple/Walnut guitar, but DB had 2 for sale. Although rare, Django Books did not price gouge, and the price was on par with other 200 series Gitanes. The Guitar sounds and plays great, and It arrived from California to New York in 3 days, via USPS. I see many sites touting Altamira and Dell’Arte Asian guitars, so I was VERY happy that Michael did not try to steer me towards these guitars. I’m sure they are fine, but I’m very happy with Gitane.

Play faster, louder, and with better tone by learning the rest-stroke picking technique used by Django Reinhardt, Stochelo Rosenberg, Bireli Lagrene, and Fapy Lafertin.
The original "Wegen" Gypsy Guitar pick. 3.5mm thick, 30mm long, 26mm wide.
The original Gypsy jazz strings! Used by Django Reinhard and nearly every other Gypsy guitarist.
