2013 Park Encore

Shelley Park needs no introduction. Over the past two decades she has earned a reputation as one of the top makers of Selmer style guitars. Her guitars are known for their impeccable workmanship, aesthetic beauty, and warm satisfying tone. This guitar is no exception.

The Modèle Encore features Selmer dimensions: 670mm scale, 15 3/4" lower bout, and a 3 7/8" body depth. The top is European spruce and the back and sides are made of solid Indian rosewood. There is a treble bout soundport that includes a form fitted plug which allows the player to neutralize the soundport if need be. The neck is constructed from one solid piece of mahogany. The modern J.P. Favino style ebony fingerboard is free of position markers (it does have side dots) and a has a stylish extension that reaches up to the 24th fret.

Hardware includes a handsome set of Miller tuners and a Miller tailpiece.

This instrument posses a clear, crisp tone that yields singing single note lines and crunchy, focused chordal work. The high end is especially robust, allowing the guitar to easily cut through even the most overbearing accompaniment. And whenever you do find that's it hard to hear yourself, simply remove the soundport plug for improved acoustic monitoring. This guitar also has a lovely open tone that adds complexity and color to anything you play. All in all, it's a very special instrument with characteristics one rarely finds combined into one guitar!

This instrument is in excellent condition, with just some mild signs of use. There are a few very small dings and some very mild pickwear, otherwise the instrument looks almost new. This instrument was recently refretted with stainless steel frets.
