Here's an opportunity to get great vintage sound at a fraction of the
price of big names, like Favino, Busato, and Selmer. This wonderful
guitar was built by Pierre Anastasio, a major fixture of the Parisian
lutherie scene from the 60s through the early 90s. He is most famous for
the guitars he built for Angelo Debarre during the early part of his
career (one of which he used on the famous Gypsy Guitars CD.)
This premium example of Anastasio's work features gorgeous Brazilian rosewood back and sides, a spruce top, and a walnut neck. It has a set of nickel Ping Deluxe tuners and an nickel tailpiece. The bridge has a compensated B string for more precise intonation.
This instrument produces a bold, authoritative tone with the sort of character and attitude that only a fine, vintage instrument can produce. Single notes project exceptionally well, with a sizzle and snap that will penetrate even the most challenging acoustic environments. It also has a complex, full midrange that beefs up the lead lines and fills out chords for a rich rhythm sound.
The condition of this instrument is very good. It has some moderate fretwear, very light pickwear on the top, and some small dings and scratches on the body. There is one top crack between the bass side of the soundhole and the fingerboard which has been secured with a large reinforcement shim that spans that entire area. The back has some spots where there is some mild delamination.
An instrument with Wow Factor like this is a rare find, and even rarer at such a low price!
