This is the higher performance version of the PRO 70. It has a
wider frequency response then the PRO 70 which captures the high end
frequencies more accurately. This very mic was used by Stochelo
Rosenberg and Romane on the Gypsy
Guitar Masters CD and DVD. Amazing sound!
Audio Technica AT831B Lavalier Microphone
For years this condenser microphone has been one of the top choices in the industry for lavalier microphones and can be found installed in many of the top wireless lavalier systems as well. It also can serve as an acoustic guitar mic mounted in the sound hole. The cardioid pickup pattern ensures the best possible pickup directly in front of the microphone while minimizing external noise, thus resulting in minimal feedback. The microphone comes with a tie/collar clip and terminates to a power module with battery. In place of the battery, the microphone can also be powered by 48 volt phantom power.
Good mic
It's a good quality mic.I didn't test it outside on a live gig just in my studio.Connected to a studio preamp this mic will give you clean, nice, full body sound with a lot of natural transients using guitar soundhole adapter or placing mic inside guitar.I didn't buy optional gooseneck adapter but with little adaptation I use small clip which you get in the box. This mic is also great in combination with other studio mic as Neuman.Recordings with this two mic's are really superb. And I'm not talking about Selmer style guitars only but for all acoustic guitars, classical nylons and even archtops in combination pick-up + AT831B (great jazz sound) Regarding live performance I hope it will be great too as I tested on my studio monitors with pretty high volume before any usual feedback.
