2000 Dell'Arte Dark Eyes

Here is a rare opportunity to own a fine, handmade guitar at a price normally reserved for Asian imports. This high quality Selmer copy was handmade in Dell'Arte's California workshop and features solid quilted maple back and sides, a spruce top, and a two piece maple neck. The quilted maple is highly figured and simply stunning! I've never seen a Dark Eyes models with such elegant woods before which makes me believe this was a one-of-a-kind special variation.

The condition is very good with some light finish checking, pickwear, and a few dings and scratches. There is one spot (about a inch long) on the center of the back where some of the finish was slightly deformed. The action is set at a slinky 3mm, making this instrument a breeze to play.

The sound is very rich, with a warm and complex midrange. It has a rich, yet clear character to it which is very forgiving and listenable. The high end is snappy, with some nice punch to it and overall the tone is very dry, and defined. Much more satisfying than than over wet and ringy Asian guitars in this price range,
