I have been looking for a 14 fret d-hole for years and have played a lot of them but none of them fit the bill - they mostly had necks like bats and too thin and dry a tone for my taste, but this one is really special. 1995 Dupont John Jorgenson

1995 Dupont John Jorgenson

Here is something very rare, a unique model that Maurice Dupont designed in collaboration with the celebrated  American Gypsy jazz guitarist John Jorgenson.

This guitar includes:

  • laminated Brazilian body, bear claw spruce top, walnut neck
  • long (670mm) scale, as on the later Selmers with the oval hole
  • Internal Resonator
  • body bindings in flamed maple, bindings and rosette accented by fine strips of cobalt, red, lavender, green, and so forth.

The sound is lush and full and is clearly one of the best 14 fret D holes I've had. The resonator and top quality woods produce a complex and beautiful tone like none other. The guitar plays very easily and has no issues whatsoever. The condition is very good with only minor sings of wear.

Fantastic guitar

I have been looking for a 14 fret d-hole for years and have played a lot of them but none of them fit the bill - they mostly had necks like bats and too thin and dry a tone for my taste, but this one is really special. Amazing tone and great playability. Michael is a pleasure to work with. He has played some of the best of the best Selmer guitars and has an in-depth knowledge of the field. He has spent a lot of time with me on several occasions over the past year or so discussing the pros and cons of different brands and styles, etc. I even bought one from him some time ago and sent it back and the only questions he asked was why I didnt like it so he could help me find the right one someday. When this one came in he thought it was right for me, and he was spot on. I couldn't be happier and I had no problem ordering it given my past experience with his 48 hour approval policy. This guitar is great and the entire experience with Michael is one of the best I've ever had buying a guitar. Highly recommended. Thanks Michael!
