Gonzalo Bergara & Adrien Moignard - Clasico

This album is incredibly complex while also being so wonderfully simple. Adrien and Gonzalo are so at ease with each other, making the songs sound effortless, just two friends having a conversation on a weekend afternoon, or as the cover suggests, playing a friendly (or not so friendly) game of futbol. They seemlessly pass the lead and rhythm duties back and forth just like that ball. On top of all of this is just enough guitar pyrotechnics to satisfy the guitar player in me while not trampling the enjoyment of just listening to a wonderful record. These three (thanks Ref) players really show why these tunes are "The Standards". Thanks guys, for a wonderful ride.
