The Perfect Crossover Guitar
If you’ve always played a solidbody electric, then adjusting to the
ergonomics of a full-sized semi-hollowbody can be challenging. That’s
why Ibanez created the AM2000H. The smallest member of the Artstar line,
the AM2000H showcases all the traits that one looks for in a
semi-hollow; meanwhile, it boasts the comfort of a solidbody. The
vintage tone has a healthy amount of warmth with a clean attack and
enough sustain to rival your bass player. The body is made with figured
anigre for a resonant timbre and good looks, and there are classic
sounds to explore, thanks to Super 58 humbucking pickups. A
trapeze-style AM-H Special tailpiece provides excellent tuning stability
and an extra dose of classic design sensibility. Finally, your fingers
will appreciate the silky-smooth ebony fingerboard and generous carve of
the 3-piece mahogany/maple neck. What’s more to say? Grab an AM2000H
and experience the magic for yourself.
Super 58 pickups lend a pure, vintage tone
The Artstar AM2000H has a vintage voice, courtesy of the two Super 58
humbuckers. The Alnico III magnets and winding technique yield a
vintage-style sound that sounds like the semi-hollows of yore. And for
an extra helping of sustain, the pickups are mounted directly in the
center block.
Sounds great and fights feedback
The figured anigre top, back, and sides of the AM2000H grab the eye
instantly. But this guitar isn’t just a beauty. The semi-hollow body has
a thick sound block that resists any tendency toward feedback. While
most semi-hollows absolutely wail at higher volumes, it’s easy to keep
the AM2000H smooth and velvety at high volumes. Plus, to provide the
definition you need, Ibanez uses a bone nut. Combined with two Super 58
humbucking pickups, the AM2000H will dial in an expressive, rich tone.
Silky-smooth playing experience
When you take your AM2000H for your first test drive, you’ll be
astonished by its neck. We commonly praise Ibanez for
their incredibly comfortable and responsive neck designs, but this
oil-finished 3-piece neck is in a league of its own. The AM Artstar neck
carve leaves just enough wood between your fingers for an old-school
feel with performance fit for a new-school axe. The neck doesn’t just
feel like silk to play; it’s strong, too. The neck’s maple ply is
treated with Ibanez’s S-Tech wood-roasting technique to relieve weight
and increase stability in the same process. Take it from us: the Ibanez
Artstar AM2000H’s silky action and stability will impress you for years
and years to come.
