This wonderful guitar was built by Pierre Fontaine, a well known Parisian luthier who was active from the 1950s through the early 2000s.
This guitar features the unusual combination of a 14 fret neck and a short scale length. The dimensions are: 16" body, 3 3/4 depth, 650mm scale. A great guitar for someone with small hands but wants high fret access for lead playing.
Back and sides feature gorgeous flamed maple and the three piece back has an attractive rosewood center piece. The neck is mahogany the fingerboard is ebony.
This guitar is in very good condition. It has a few tiny dings and scratches.
It is currently strung with 11 gauge strings and action is set at 2.8mm.
This guitar is very warm sounding with a very thick mid range and rounded highs. The short scale and low action make it a breeze to play.
