Like the NY8, the NY 8ER was designed to meet the needs of players struggling with crowded transit systems of New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong, while preserving and enhancing a full rich sound. It is also a great small cabinet to use as a sidekick to the Stealth 12, Twin 8 or the Stealth 10. By itself it is surprisingly big in tone.
It is warm and aggressive and, when turned up in volume, it almost sounds like a 12ER. The NY 8ER is good by itself in small combo situations especially if vocals and/or steel/nylon string flat tops are in the mix.
The NY 8ER can also be used in conjunction with other RE
cabinets. A great way to expand the sound of your existing system.
Raezer's Edge NY 8-ER
This RE NY 8-ER is a great cabinet! Small, lightweight, and powerful. Easy to carry around. Bought it as an all-in-one solution for both my archtop and flattop guitars. With the tweeter off, it has the classic warm and clean jazz sound. Not dark or muddy. With the tweeter on, there is an extra sparkle that brings out the sound of my acoustic. Pleasure doing business with Michael at Django Books!
