Schertler Giulia Y (Wood)

Pros: Clean sound with a splash of reverb, plenty of power in a small package.

I just received my Schertler Giulia Y today, and it's just as I expected. Super clean sound, with more than enough power for my needs (home). I play a Pono ET(C)-PC (tenor ukulele with passive pickup), and will be adding a vocal microphone. Nice to dream about playing a small venue! As a bit of background, for many years I played bass guitar and had some wonderful equipment. That included combos from Mesa Boogie, and I initially I looked to them for an acoustic amp. The Mesa Boogie Rosette 300 was overkill for my needs, and I'm glad I found Schertler.

Pros: Qualitative Amplification

Cons: Carry Bag could be larger with pockets

I wanted a micro amp that was easy to transport and at the same time had the dynamic range of a mid size amp. The Giulia Y delivers on transparency, tone and volume! It is highly deceptive when you look at this small box and hear such tall and deep sound. More than enough volume [it is bi-amped] at 50 true watts RMS to light up a small to medium size room without losing composure. I have higher end Breedlove and Taylor guitars; this amp brings out all of their qualities without coloration. Kudos to Michael for his patience with my questions and recommendation.

I bought this amp for studio use. I was skeptical about whether 50 watts would be enough amps to provide the power I needed. I couldn’t be more Satisfied with my purchase. Michael was awesome to deal with, very friendly and knowledgeable, no hard sell. I would highly recommend this company for your acoustic guitar amplification needs

I have the Unico that is an amazing amp, but wanted something compact enough to carry for small venues or use as my monitor. I am totally satisfied. Loud enough and amazing reproduction of my Martin OM42 and other high end guitars

Pros: Great features, solidly built, plenty of power.

Cons: At $55, the Gig bag will protect the amp for travel, but shesh- put a pocket on the outside so you can at least have someplace for the power cord other than squeezing it in on top of the amp.

I have a Schertler Jam 400 that our acoustic group uses when gigging. Decided I'd like a compact, lightweight, 2 channel acoustic amp for travel and ease of setup anywhere in the house. Went with this little Guilia Y, both on Michael's recommendation and my experience with the Jam 400. All I can say is WOW! This little amp would probably be enough for most small venues!. Extremely compact, solidly built,and of course has that great Schertler sound. Surpisingly clear vocals through the XLR input. If you are on the fence; don't be. This is the real deal, not some scaled back mini.
