A Versatile Acoustic Amplifier with a Cutting Edge Features

The Schertler Jam is a powerful acoustic amplifier with 200W of power, 3 channels, and arguably the clearest, most natural sound of any acoustic amp on the market! This unit features a two way 8" woofer, a 1" dome tweeter, and a Class A preamp which will add warmth and clarity to your sound.

The Jam is Equipped with All the Inputs and Outputs You'll Need

The Schertler Jam has three main channels: one channel with a 1/4" instrument input and two channels with XLR mic inputs which provide phantom power. The second XLR channel also has another 1/4" input, offering even more options for the player. A fourth channel has a mini stereo input for an MP3 player and a fifth channel has stereo inputs for the external effects loop. An insert plug is also included which can be used with Schertler's nondestructive side-chained volume pedal or any other dynamics processing device. The output section includes a Line Out, adjustable DI, and an AUX out as well as a low cut filter and a mute switch.

Advanced Signal Processing is at Your Fingertips

The Schertler Jam features versatile EQ controls with Low, High, and Mid sweeps as well as parametric EQ for added control. The RESON control notches out feedback prone Low Mids, enabling mics or Schertler DYN pickups to achieve substantially more volume before feedback. The WARM button essentially emulates the tone of an AER amp by boosting Mids and cutting Highs, which smooths out quacky, harsh sounding piezo type pickups. An internal digital reverb with a decay control in also included.

Schertler Jam 200

Pros: Exceptional value for the quality of this amp. A true acoustic sound.

Cons: The only possible con I can fidn is no pole mount, if you like to use that this doesn't have one.

It used to be another manufacturer made the "premiere" violin amp, but not anymore. Having owned and/or used at least 20 different amps the Schertler Jam 200 is "the" amp for violin/fiddle. Getting a clean tone at a volume that allows the fiddle to be heard is not possible on most amps available today. It either distorts at a working volume, or just never gets there. I like the acoustic sound of the fiddle and even with some high end mics it was difficult to get a sound I could work with, not so with the Schertler amp. The tone is rich, full clear and for me at least, inspiring. Compared to other high end acoustic amps this has the richness and full sound the other don't. Not to mention at a fraction of the cost. The Schertler Jam 200 is a great value for someone that wants to hear their instrument as never before with all the overtones and harmonics.
