Selmer 786
Pros: dynamics, power, balance, and "that" sound.
I was not prepared for the sound of this guitar. To be clear, I've never played a bad Selmer, and they run the gamut from clear and present to raucous and folky depending on the year and model, so a player's taste will determine which they prefer, but I've played three Selmers that grabbed me entirely, and this is one of them. This guitar enchanted me.

The original Gypsy jazz strings! Used by Django Reinhard and nearly every other Gypsy guitarist.
Vintage Django tone for Selmer/Maccaferri oval hole guitars.
