2002 Park Encore

Shelley Park needs no introduction. Over the past decade she has earned a reputation as one of the top makers of Selmer style guitars. Her guitars are known for their impeccable workmanship, aesthetic beauty, and warm satisfying tone. This guitar is no exception.

The Modèle Encore features Selmer dimensions: 670mm scale, 15 3/4" lower bout, and a 4" body depth. The top is spruce and the back and sides are made of solid Indian rosewood. The neck is walnut and the body has walnut binding.

The guitar is outfitted with a set of three on a plate tuners, a DR tailpiece, and a bigtone pickup.

This instrument has a warm, balanced tone that has none of the harshness one often hears in more traditional Gypsy guitars. It produces fat, full bodied chords and silky, pure leads. It's easily the most playable guitar here right now, with low 2.6mm action that allows for fast, effortless playing.

This slightly used example is in excellent condition. It has few signs of wear other than a few small scratches, light pickwear, mild tailpiece corrosion, and some moderate fretwear.

Shelley's base price is now $5300, and a guitar with upgrades like this one (i.e. bigtone pickup) would be significantly more. Save big on this excellent example!
