The sound is rather snappy with a full, but a nicely projecting lead tone. Like all of Shelley's guitars, this instrument has a goegeous complexity and warmth that is rarely found in Selmer type guitars. Chords are lush...great for rhythm! Playability is excellent...the guitar is currently strung with Argentine 11 gauge strings and plays nicely at 2.8mm action. The bridge is currently shimmed to get the correct height.
This guitar is in good condition but has some pickwear on the top. There also are two fairly large dings in the top on either side of the tailpiece. The frets are pretty worn and are in need of a fret dress.
