This rare nylon string Gypsy model is reminiscent of the original Maccaferri design which was a nylon string classical guitar. Strong voiced and rich in tone, this hybrid guitar combines the warm, easy playing feel of a classical guitar with the bark and character of a Gypsy guitar. Numerous Gypsy virtuosos such as Stochelo Rosenberg (Noches Calientes) and Bireli Lagrene (New York Tango) have used nylon string Gypsy guitars to great effect.

This beautifully crafted instrument features a delectably warm sounding Western red cedar top, highly figured cocobolo back and sides, and a mahogany neck. The bridge and headstock are embellished with a stunning amboyna burl veneer. The guitar has been fitted with a set of gold waverly three on a plate tuners with snakewood binding.
