The Loar's hand-carved, nitrocellulose-finished LH-700 archtop guitar is a product of extensive historic research. Its excellent projection and quick decay make it the professional choice for jazz soloing or accompaniment.
The LH-700 is assembled with an AAA solid hand carved spruce top, AAA flamed maple back and sides, and a figured maple neck with a vintage-style skunk stripe. The bone nut and compensated adjustable ebony bridge let the sound of the select tonewoods resonate clearly. The headstock is inlaid with a MOP "Flowerpot" headstock design and the guitar is finished with a hand-buffed nitrocellulose lacquer tobacco sunburst finish to stay true to classic design and style.
The LH-700 comes standard with the Golden Age-styled Deluxe Vintage Hardshell archtop case.

Loar LH-700-VS
Pros: Tone, shine
Cons: V neck, tailpiece
This guitar looks and sounds great. It is extremely loud, and has a tone that cuts though nicely. The fit and finish is overall very nice. I'm giving four stars on quality due to the the tailpiece. It only has 2 screws, instead of 3, and looks like it is pulling out on the bottom, and doesn't look like the best quality. The bridge looks kind of flimsy too, but looks to be a copy of the early Gibson type (and is obviously replaceable). The neck is very playable and smooth. It is a very hard V-shape, though, which has taken some getting used to. I get tons of compliments on this guitar, and I really like compliments. My second guitar purchase from Michael, and have been pleased with the exceptional service!

Same thickness as the GP250 but smaller over all dimensions. Provides better control with out losing tone. Seems to work nicely on shorter scale guitars. 27.5 mm long, 23.3 mm wide, 2.5 mm thick. (two per pack).
