Jackie and Tovi recently arrived from Alaska, where they led the group Swing 49. Jackie’s soulful and improvisational singing made her a finalist at the 2017 Seattle Jazz Vocalist Competition. Tovi studied classical and jazz guitar at the University of Alaska–he plays hard-swinging rhythm and lithe, playful solos. The concert will feature music from Ranger and the “Re-Arrangers” repertoire of swing standards and traditional Gypsy melodies.
