Help...Broken mounting clip - Stimer pickup Oval Hole

Hello all, the clip on the underside of my stimer pickup has broken off and broken in half so I can't reuse it. Has anyone come up with an idea to resolve this sort of problem? I messed around with some money clips, putty and just not coming up with anything functional. Thank you in advance, Dean.

Gluing some magnetic discs under the top might work, maybe even sticking them with the putty.

Sure man. Those neodymium discs are strong little suckers, pinched my skin with a pair a few times and it hurt.
