One of Gypsy Jazz's best kept secrets (in my opinion)

Mister Quinn Bachand (who happens to be my tenant lol)! I've known him since he was maybe 15 or so. He's not so well known in the world except among the DFNW crowd. That's because he doesn't play jazz professionally, he is one of the most in-demand guitar accompanists in the Celtic/Trad Music world and mostly plays jazz for fun these days.

I decided it would be cool to record him for DCMS since he's actually living in my home in Montreal with my studio! He has a unique style. Obviously influenced by the usual masters, but I think he's developed his own language

Here are clips of his playing

He borrowed one of my guitars for a Celtic Connections gig in Glasgow and as a thank you he gave me one of his CDs. Great stuff and I was surprised that he's not better known.

He has a very successful music career being a sideman/accompanist/producer so the jazz things is just a hobby for him! Good for him but it’s also too bad that he’s not more well known
