This grand modèle Busato was built during war time and carries a label from Cité Griset. It was purchased from the family of the original owner who used to play it in various guinguettes along the Marne river. After he passed, the guitar was stored unplayed in a closet for decades. "It's one of the best Busato's I have ever seen with respect to condition and sound” - Jacques Mazzoleni.
The guitar has a solid spruce top and laminated Brazilian Rosewood back and sides without any crack. The original fretboard (included) was replaced and refretted. This accurate fret board and a precisely positioned replacement bridge have made the guitar easy to tune and play. The work was done by expert luthier Jérôme Casanova in Paris.
The hardware is original to the guitar, comprising SB tuners and a BB tailpiece.
This guitar is very, very similar to Stéphane Wrembel's. It plays very easily and has a great, big sound, as well as nuances. The Dropbox links below include:
