Refurbished Gitane Bridge

melodymakermelodymaker Hornby Island, BC CanadaNew
Im tired of my low E sliding and clicking out of place, and was thinking about putting a bigtone on my gitane. has anyone reworked their stock bridge.... by maybe leveling the top and making room for an ebony insert (allowing a place for the bigtone) ???

My big concern is doing this and having the tone change for the worse. I like the snappy bark of my bridge... though it could sing a little more.

any feedback is great.

I can build you a bigtone to your specs. Email me if you are interested in talking about this in more detail.

    Cheers,
