I think I find the camera work and editing cheesier than the actual music on that one. It almost gave me motion sickness!

Good clips! Both are Hungarian? Looks like they like nylon-strings. Is that the guitar of choice in Hungary? I know Brazil and Spain use them often, and the Russians use the 7-string nylon.

Is the guy in the second vid wearing seersucker? It appears that he is also wearing the mandatory white bucks. 8)

Hey these are cool clips. Does anybody think the guitarist is related to the new President of France, Nicholas Sarkozy (of Hungarian heritage...also a Gypsy)??? LOL

Stackabones, to comment on your question...no I don't think that the nylon-string guitar is the only guitar of choice in Hungary. I heard Istvan Gyarfas, an amazing jazz guitarist (more in the Wes mold), playing hollowbody electric, and a gypsy band played at my wife's-sister's wedding. He was using a solid-body electric. I get the impression over there, it's pretty much whatever you can afford, you will play. This is as incredibly poor country...

hungary an incredibly poor country? hmm i dunno about that.. not that i'm a specialist or anything but I do have a few hungarian friends and they don't seem to refer to their country (or give the imrpession) as being that way...

anyway greg, if you thought the camerawork is cheesy... get a load of THIS:

Yea its a really poor country...the average salary is equivalent to about $200 USD per month ... and of course the gov't is really corrupt. That's why they had the huge protests last year (still ongoing).

Gypsies are hugely discriminated against there by the affluent, unless of course you are a gypsy who is an amazing musician.

Correction: in my last post, i said the "average" salary was $200 per month, I meant the "lowest" salary. Sorry about that.

So, is seersucker a big thing in Hungary? I've got one, and my passport is current.
