Hello,

For those who don't know who Gatsby is, he's the young guitar player from Manoucheries, who also posts here, and he's a fine musician who has reached an incredible level in just 7 years. I asked him a few questions and got some very interesting answers with a few mp3 as well. Here's the interview:

I hope you'll like it...

Wonderful player with a sweet touch. A friend sent me the link to the improv on a classical guitar a while ago, and it's nice to hear some more.

Smart words on jam sessions as well as playing unaccompanied (or with just a rhythm guitarist).

I think this is my favorite part of the interview ...
The best I can say about this "notion of humility" is that without it, I cannot see how it is possible to make good music. Being humble means forgetting yourself a bit to offer the best of what you are, and there can be no mistake about it. Humility brings authenticity, which is essential in music.

    Thanks for the link![/quote]

Damn, I just realized that I registered in 2005 and never posted here... I guess it shows that I don't have much to contribute.

Very cool interview, BTW, Yann, thanks (and thanks to Gatsby too). I know that a few others on manoucheries already volunteered, but if you need help for the translation of any future interview, I could also give you a hand. Not that I'm the bestest translator ever or anything...

I can see quite a few familiar faces... hi guys! :D
