Mounting a soundhole pickup on a D-hole

I have found a pickup that I really like the LR baggs M1, though like other sound hole pickups its designed for standard round holes. Anyone work out a good method for attaching a sound hole pickup to your d-hole. I saw the post about using popsicle sticks and wondered about other possibilities. I used a few small pieces of wood and velcro to attach mine.

I'm not familiar with that pickup but maybe you could try using the schertler putty to attach it.
