Can't find this cliche

I've been going through my chord charts trying to recognize patterns from the Gypsy Rhythm book. One sequence keeps cropping up -

G/B Bbdim Am7 D7 (Lady Be Good, Confessin')
or
C/E Ebdim Dm7 G7 (J'Attendrai)

but I can't find an example in the book. Perhaps it's not there or I'm analyzing the sequence incorrectly - I bIII ii V7?. The nearest I can find is on p.112 where Michael gives the sequence G/B A13(b9)/Bb Am7. That A13(b9)/Bb chord is almost a Bbdim isn't it?

I'm just wondering what shapes everyone uses for this common sequence.

Thanks,
M.

I don't know what might be in the book, but I play G/B Bbdim Am7 D7 like this:

    7x57xx, 6x56xx, 5x55xx, 5x45xx

Though I try for 4 & 5 note chords most of the time, this cliche is usually going by pretty fast and the three note chords help me keep up as well as emphasize the descending bass line. Played like this is flows nicely.

I think of it as a I-vi-ii-V (whether that is correct or not)

So the Bbdim would be a tritone substitution for Em in the G progression?

I understand that Bb is the tritone of E, but wouldn't Bbdim be a sub for A7, which is the tritone of Eb?

This is fairly uninformed curiosity here, without an instrument in front of me, so please don't take offense if my question is naive.
