Post Django Reinhardt Solo's Here Topic

edited October 2010 in Repertoire Posts: 193
Hee,

I was thinking about a topic where Django Reinhardt solo's could be posted, in TAB, Powertab, Guitarpro....etc format. If somebody posts a Solo, I will add it to the list in this post. :D

There is not much point in doing something that is already been transcribed like All of Me. It would be better to find out if somebody did it. I would be interested in a transcription of Black and White and Twelfth Year.

Maybey but, I think that there are many people who have some solo's on their computer that they could post them online. These 2 , and the Echoes of France solo are the only one's I could find on the internet.

I think if you dig a bit deeper you'll find a lot online...check out some of these links (below), and also look into the Yahoo gypsy jazz groups. There's a ton of transcriptions out there...some are more reliable than others, but there's no shortage. Here are a few links that might help:

    http://www.hotclub.co.uk/ptab/powertab.html

    best,
    Jack.

yeah. "DjangoDjango"... there is probably MUCH MORE stuff that you realize. check the links in this thread also:

    viewtopic.php?t=3842

Also, Dennis Chang did a whole bunch of transcriptions a few years ago. You could probably haggle with him for the one you want. Also, before you do a transcription you might want to post on this forum your intention just in case it has already been done a few times before.

Also, I agree, Twelfth Year would be awesome.

I have (at least tried) transcribed Belleville and Cavalerie.

Edit: Well I tried to upload files with this post, but it wont allow gp4. files
