Exactly Like You Solo

On the first D7 chord of Django's exactly like you solo he plays some sort of open string run-up. I've looked at a couple transcriptions but it just doesn't seem to quite match up with the record on that spot. Does anyone know what this lick is?

thanks
Glenn

if we're talking about the same solo, it's just an ascending C major scale starting on the open D, using open strings whenever possible, and on the top E string, it's a chromatic run until the note A... it's a bit sloppy though but the important thing is to land on the A on the right beat..

and on the quarter note after the A, django takes a breath and exhales on the the 3rd 16th note after the beat... i suggest practicing this passage with a metronome... most people overlook this section in their transcriptions but i think it is the key to nailing the django sound
