My had has been hurting for the past few days over this one. Use as an "out" sounding sub for Emaj

    I think Bireli also uses it over Bb7 (as a tritone sub).

    Definitely "outside" sounding.

    Really cool chord!
    Sebastien Giniaux showed it to me last summer and I still have trouble doing it, of course for him it's easy...or at least he makes it look easy...
    It could be called something like E 6 9 +11.
    If you drop that high a# to g# or e (or even d#) on the first string it sounds way more "inside", you can also play it with the high E string ringing open.

    That +11 blows my mind!

    Good sound and easy to take, I aslo added "F" on second str. and sound goes deeper and more tension if use it for Bb7 :-)

    Ya it's mostly used as an E7..

    Speaking of Biréli, how about this one :
    (you can hear it in Laura, see it in the live in California, etc..)
