There's an amazing set of videos here showing luthier Shelley Park building a guitar pretty much in its entirety -- the videos are sped up but you get to see just about every step and when you see the amount of handwork that goes into a guitar like this, you realize that while these guitars are not "cheap" they are remarkably inexpensive -- an incredible amount of work goes into it, and the hourly wage must work out to something depressingly low. I have enormous respect for these talented luthiers. It's clearly a labor of love!
