Busato 1938 for sale

Hello Everyone,

I've seen this Busato guitar for sale on the website of Eimers Guitar http://www.eimersguitars.com/busato.html Can anyone tell me more about the background of Busato guitars? Are they very rare? Is the Guitar really that good compared to a Selmer guitar?
Is it worth the money?

Thanks,

Greeting's James.

Hi there, here's a link to some info about Busatos.

    To answer your questions

    - they are pretty rare
    - allegedly louder than Selmers, Busatos are sometimes described as the next best thing to a Selmer
    - are they worth the money ? Who knows. Is a Selmer worth $30,000 dollars ?

For a better idea about costs of Busatos currently available have a look here

Note also that the French maker Maurice Dupont has "resurrected" the Busato name by introducing a line of guitars based on old Busatos.

    Cheers

    Oke thanks,

I'm interested in buying one... it's really a lot of money but hope to get a good guitar!
I'll give Leo Eimers a call to get some more details about the background of this guitar...

17.000 euro is an awful lot of money for that guitar. If you're located in the US, I'd call Jacques Mazzolini at gypsyguitars.com a call and see what he has in the pipeline. He might be able to score you one at a much lower cost.
