Wow, here we are celebrating the 100th birthday of the man who had such an incredible influence on us musicially. Time to get out the 18 year old Talisker and proffer a few toasts.

Have a great day Djangphiles

Indeed, it's incredible how much one can feel connected to a man, only through his musical ideas.

one hundred years ago, man.. long time :D

Joyeux Anniversaire! Django! ~ thanks for blessing us with your presence on this earth. We had a big jam last night at my buddy's house to celebrate; we shared a special bottle of French dessert wine, 17%alc/vol  the songs flowed free and fast; we munched on pizza; alas, no niglos could be found!
We're going to raise another few glasses to Django tonight at our gig at Sellwood Public House, in Portland...if you're in town stop by and play a couple of tunes with us. Cheers, Phil

Thank you for enriching my life Django and for giving me something to continually strive towards. And for keeping me very, very humble.

    Hail to the king!

I sat in with "Ranger and the ReArrangers" saturday night at a benefit for the Bainbridge Island Music Assoc. in WA state. 80 people showed up on short notice! Had other friends of the band play some including Double Bass, Gibson L5 electric, Trombone and harmonica!
......Gonna be an Annual Event now! What a tradition and great music!
......ps: My Holo sounded GREAT in this band!
