Love Django playing La Marsellaise. The anthem and the swing improv seem to slightly different. Would love a chart or leadsheet. Point me in the right direction.

thanks, Cratis

Here's a chord chart I transcribed from Django's recording. We do it at our Bastille Day gigs every year...

  • I have fallen in love with France and I have always thought that the Marseillaise is the most beautiful anthem in the world. Maybe that is because Hector Berlioz had some part in the the arrangement at one point. In any case, for whatever it is worth, I have attached my chord choices for the anthem. Maybe it will give someone an idea or two.

A while ago Frans Liekens made a transcription of this tune (see attached files).
