    These are fantastic if you want something very light weight with an even, transparent tone. They are pretty loud as well, although it's tough to beat the Compact 60 for pure volume. But the compact 60 is much more midrangey and boxy in tone, is heavier, and cost a lot more too.

    how are they with mics (sm57 sort of thing)?
    also, do you think that one channel used for vocals and one used for instrument would be a good use for this?

    they seem like very good equipment.

    it has an XLR plug so it's no problem to run a mic....my violinist does it all the time and it sounds great.

    Running vocals and a guitar simultaneously will work fine, it was designed to do that.
