Ah the old favorite. I don't know if American audiences know that this was probably by far the biggest hit in Europe of 90/91... something like that? I mean you couldn't escape if you lived in the cave, it was as massive as music gets. It was also embodiment of cheesy. And you guys did just wonderful job with it. It would never occur to me there's a quality melody behind the cheese.
Yeah, I remember the hype around the movie when it came to the US (...the Forbidden dance....!) but I wouldn't recognize the tune. Nice job.

The original is actually a Bolivian folk song. There was a huge controversy in South America over the world-famous Lambada since, apparently; they claimed it as an original... an Argentinian friend makes sure to let me know all about it whenever the tune plays or is mentioned when we're out and about.
Thanks Buco ...............yeah its one of those nostalgic earworms. It always reminds me of going to Spain in the late 80s and hearing it EVERYWHERE. ..............But as you say , there is a beautiful melody in there for sure.
