Hi, I am wondering if anyone knows of a source for a tailpiece input jack. I saw one at Django in June. I think one pickup maker makes them to fit in the insert portion.
Are you talking about the enclosed jack that slides into where the wood insert usually is on a selmer style guitar? I saw one of those once and was curious about where the person got it as well.
Here's something I've designed myself... still working out the kinks. It's very prone to rattling:
That would be pretty simple to make. Personally I don't love alternate output jacks because I always forget the special cable/dongle I need to make it work. I've been on a quest to find the smallest 1/4" jack component possible.
If there's enough interest I could try to whip up a 3d-printed enclosure for an input jack that could replace the wood tailpiece insert.

I think you're talking about Dan Hunt, DRH guitars.
Yeah, the one I saw was similar to that. I think it was a plastic. I'll have to check it DRH.
I think you are right Buco looks very similar to this:

This is great! I think I'd like something like this but using a 1/8 inch/3.5mm jack to be lower profile, with a corresponding guitar cable.
