Djangophonique - Introducing Djangophonique

markusmanouchemarkusmanouche Baltimore, Maryland, USANew Eastman DM-1

The debut album “Introducing Djangophonique” from Ann Arbor’s Andrew Brown and Djangophonique is one of the best Gypsy Jazz albums I have heard, and that’s not an exaggeration. Not only is the musicianship top notch as one would expect from these musicians, but the recording quality and arrangements are perfect. I cannot emphasize enough how highly I would recommend ordering a CD or LP!

I believe they are playing the Detroit jazz fest labor day weekend. I look forward to checking them out!

I concur - this is an excellent disc, I had it streaming on repeat the other day and plan to order it ASAP. I've had the privilege of booking Andrew Brown as a backing musician for shows featuring both Denis Chang and Duved Dunayevsky in recent years, and highly recommend him, his band Djangophonique, and this disc in particular!

It seems they play quite a bit in the Detroit/ Ann Arbor, Michigan area, so check them out.
