Real life Miguel (From Disney's Coco), Frano

in Welcome Posts: 5,308

I don't if people know that Frano inspired the character from the Coco movie, Miguel. He couldn't resist the allure of the genre and lately he's been picking up a gypsy jazz guitar. He sounds great on it too. His main interest is fingerstyle ala Tommy Emanuel etc...he literally grew up with a guitar in his hands. There are videos of him at the age of 3 picking up Santana melodies by ear.

@Mondoslug He plays with such ease. While I still firmly believe that one can reach a high level, without "natural talent", by putting in the time at just about any age, getting to a mental state where playing at a high level is the easiest thing in the world, that's a lot harder. Not impossible, but I think that it actually takes longer to reprogram your mind than the instrument playing skill. For him, guitar was literally his toy growing up and it's still visible to see him handling anything on the guitar with such calm and comfort.
