  I always suggest leaving the truss rod completely alone, and take it to a luthier for some likely fret adjustment and a possible bridge adjustment.

  Sounds like the truss rod has maxed out. Hmmm, not sure what to do there. I have the same problem, but at the other end of the screw, on a Cordoba Fusion 14 classical guitar - I need to pull the neck down, but there's no more screw left on the truss rod. All I could do was put low tension strings on and put up with a slightly high action.

  I'd be interested to hear if there is a way of sorting this issue out, but I'm guessing it's not possible. My advice would be to put 11s on your D500 if it currently has 10s, or find some even heavier/higher tension gypsy strings to try to pull the neck up a bit.

  I already have 11s. It rattles near the soundhole. This is possible to fix with a small pieace of wood between trussrodnut and wood. I really don't like this solution. But does it effects the sound if the trussrod is loose? It also rattles if i knock at the headstock and the 5th fret. I hear something about silicon insert to the channel. But this may also effect the sound, doesn't it?

  I would tighten the allen head until you get some resistance - that way you'll eliminate the rattle, but it shouldn't move the neck further. I think there are heavier gauge strings available. than 11s.

  I hope an experienced luthier will see this and offer a better solution, but I fear that it's a fault when the guitar was put together - not enough adjustment left on the screw thread before it was installed.
