Mateos does the leftie thing,: since he's discounting right now I suggest you contact him soon (the model B is in your price range)

    P.S.
Patenotte is not the way to go if you have small hands as you stated in another thread: those necks are huge!

    Thanks guys.
I think i'm gonna keep searching and saving.
'till now it seems that my best options are:
    Go for de Dupont Nomade
    Go for the Gallato RS1939
Save more, a lot more for an MD100
a Manouche (although i saw at their website that you must add like 125 extra bucks if you are left handed)
    a Gerónimo Mateos
    a Shelley Park

PS: Ive seen Mustache's website, but even his basic model gets over my price range.

the point is, a not-so-great guitar will make you work to get a better sound out of your hands. I think that can be very valuable.
trying to make a cheap guitar sound good can really improve technique! I once heard Wrembel play a cheap Aria in a class setting, and while he played it, it was the best guitar in the room.

I've heard this argument before, but I don't buy it. Even good guitars sound shitty when not played properly. Conversely, the many of the inexpensive ones sound pretty okay when played properly. What the cheap guitar will not do is respond to subtleties in your playing that allow you to make refinements. Where the cheap guitar punishes poor technique, the good instrument rewards proper technique.

  • One thing I have learned over the years is that a really good instrument is REALLY responsive.

It's the garbage between the notes that separates the men from the boys so to speak. If you have learned to play on an unresponsive instrument it may surprise you how sloppy you sound when playing a really responsive box.
The Magic really starts to happen when you can play it with your eyes closed
