A little while back I bought a John Jorgenson signature model. It seemed nice but I wasnt totally in love with it, so it was kinda in its case for a while. Had some fret buzz too. Anyhow, I last week I took it to my local repairman guitar wizard, and he fixed up the neck and some frets a little. Made a couple adjustments, and threw on a new set of strings. Now it is a rockin' gypsy bad boy, and I am totally digging playing it! Its just weird getting used to the dot being on the tenth fret instead of the ninth. But hey, it's nothing to 'fret' about...! 8)

    Keep at it! After a while it becomes natural and logical, and you wonder why they ever went to a 9th fret marker in the first place. Anyone know? Banjos and mandolins have 10th fret markers, why not most guitars?

    Nice to hear that a little setup work brought your guitar to life. Sometimes that's all it takes.

    Good point - I moved to Canada 18 years ago and still can't relate to meat in grams or temperature in Celsius.

    +1. I can't manage the 9th fret dot anymore. It really throws me off.
