@pickitjohn , ****, the owner of the Dell Arte brand ( a friend and a great guy) played my Jimmy Rosenberg and suggested that I remove the Big tone bridge and see if that helped. I think he and I just knew that it was just an acoustically quiet guitar with muffled highs. Some are better than others. I bought that guitar online from a private seller.

I've owned several very nice American-made Dell Arte's, and played several more. My first was an Anouman, a traditional D hole that was a wonderful guitar; I sold it to Dennis Chang, who also loved it. My best oval hole was a Hommage, which featured great woods, workmanship, playability, and tone; I would happily have that one back....
Well, I finally had a look at the 2002 Dell'Arte Minor Swing Custom on CL in the bay area and was really disappointed. Advertised as in "excellent condition", it had what appeared to be a long crack in the top, fret wear and most importantly, didn't sound all that great. It did look really good with the curly maple sides and back. Being that it was advertised at top dollar, I passed. Thanks to everybody that offered advice!
