  The show at the Ashkenaz tonight IS Paul Mehling of Sf hot club. It's his other band, "Le Jazz hot", that plays the same type of stuff under a different name.

  Go see Le Jazz Hot. Paul Mehling is awesome. He also does lessons, as well, and everybody raves about them. Schedule is at http://hcsf.com/
  As far as guitars, Gryphon is a great shop, but probably won't have more than a new Gitane. You can usually check their inventory on line. Haight Ashbury Music had a couple of gypsy guitars the last time I was there. http://haightashburymusic.com/

  Did catch the show, and it as a treat to see Paul and the group play in person. The venue, however, framed the show as a swing dance, so most of the music was slanted toward that speed--less of a concert than a dance. A good night of live gypsy jazz music, nonetheless.
