Hi,
I just came across an obscure LP record. The title is "Dariz. Swing Violin and Guitar". The artist, Francis Darizcuren, plays all the instruments (violin, solo-guitar, 2 rhythm-guitars, bass) himself. The label is WEA Atlantic (Nr. 50473). The record has been recorded in 1977. The tracklist is:
Face A
1) Going to Louisiana
2) PSI
3) Dariz
4) Slowly my dear
5) Yes
6) No man´s land
7) Modulation
8 La Marsellaise
Face B
1) Swing violin and guitar
2) 3 H du mat.
3) Reminiscence
4) Blues five
5) Crazy strings
6) En flanant
7) Swinging on
8 Cool duo
The compositions came from (excepting A8, of course) Francis Darizcuren and Guy Boyer, who also recorded this LP.
Dariz plays different old original Selmer guitars and yes he can swing both violin and guitar as well!
Can anybody out there give me more informations about Dariz? Any hint is appreciated!
Best,

I just came across your old unanswered post.
Francis Darizcuren is mostly known as a bass player and bass teacher. He writes in "Guitarist Magazine" where he gives some bass tabs and also some nice guitar transcriptions.
For instance there is the music of "Ma Première Guitare" (he was involved in the recording of the original version with Sacha Distel and Stéphane Grappelli , he made the arrangements if I remember correctly) and he also tabbed Nuages (10 march 1953 version) the last recorded version.
I believe he owned a music shop mainly dedicated to bass. But I am not certain if he still has it. He seems to be more into teaching now in his "Institut Francis DARIZCUREN" in Champigny-sur-Marne.
You can contact him at : francis.darizcuren@darizmusic.com
I hope this helps
