Very dry with a more midrange focus than a Gitane. Not super loud but decent projection and very clear. Great for the price, no doubt. I would still prefer an Altamira but the Swing 39 cost less and I think many people may prefer the more balanced tone. It's a little more forgiving whereas the Altamira is an old school barker.
My Paris Swing GG-39 is a tad bigger than the Gitane 255 I used to have. It will fit in the gypsy guitar case that I bought for the Gitane, albeit snugly. It is a nice beginner/intermediate/travel guitar without the "wetness" of the Gitane. It isn't the loudest, but has a nice authentic sound.

Yes, they are a revamped and much improved version of the old Music Link Dell Artes.
Fairly modern C shape neck...like a Dupont.

Are you sure Michael? I compared a 39 to my Dupont and the body is quite deeper on the Paris Swing... Not sure if that qualifies as Favino though
The GG-39 is larger than a Selmer, but not a full Favino sized guitar. The GG-42 is the only Favino sized guitar built in Asia.
