Nonis is a fantastic luthier. His reproductions of Selmer, Favino and Busato models are painstakingly accurate and his vintaged instruments look as real as the real thing: nobody can compete with him in that area IMO.

I haven't yet played one, but I can tell you that Frater knows his business. If he says they are fantastic, you can take it to the bank.
I've never been a guitar player, but I've played one on stage.

I was at a Stephan Wrembel workshop t'other month with about 8 or 9 other people & the only guitar in the room that made my ears go "hello, what are you then" was a Nonis (apart from Stephan's Holo, of course). It was really nice, clear, loud & attractive.

Brillian thank you for you words of wisdom.

I just got lots of other responces from other people about him and everyone has said amazing things about him. not heard one negative yet, so im just going to have to try play one and see how it feels, as you all know however fantastic a instrument is made etc it is a personal thing.

But have contacted him and hope to try out one of his display model's or something, but tey do seem fantastic.

    Thank you all again

I am the very proud owner of a Killy Nonis Selmer copy, she is my pride and joy. Now, I have not owned any other Luthier built Selmer copies but have played many, there are so many out there now, but for me, there is a 'something' a certain 'je ne said quoi' about Killy's Guitars, perhaps it is the meticulous way that he builds them, each one is like a baby and as far as I have seen, each one is built individually with care and attention paid to each and every one as if each separate instrument is a one off. There are not many Luthiers who work with this approach. In my humble opinion this adds character and personality to his instruments that you would be hard pushed to find elsewhere. Killy is an Artist and the sound that his guitars make says it all. I have often been pleased with the sound of many selmer copies but I have only ever been stopped in my tracks, as a previous poster says and thought.. 'What is that?!?' by a Nonis guitar. The Guitar I own has been played by many great players and I quote. John Jorgenson 'Killy, this is just like my Selmer!' Stochelo 'I Love this Guitar!' Daniel Givone, (In the dark..having placed it lovingly into his case, leaving his selmer on my lap..) 'I thought it was my Selmer! But It just sounded so good!' If you are in doubt, then you should search You tube for clips taken last year at Samois when Lollo, Fapy and Stochelo got together in a corner and played Killy's guitars... If these guys look him up, then you know that you are on the right tracks to finding serious instruments! And yes Tchavolo has one, I can vouch, once he played it, he didnt want to hand it back and grinned from ear to ear while he played it for the first time! The best always search out the best! As mentioned, each of Killy's guitars is an individual, some are more complimentary to a gentle style of playing, like a well balanced car, they make you feel like a confident driver and congratulate you along the way... but others need to be played a little harder... these are the ones that Growl at you and when treated right will make you weep... its 'THAT' sound! :D
