Strings ?

Hi and thanks for looking,
I've only played with argies (10s and 11s) which i like a lot, but now i'm wondering what other comendable Strings should i look into for a "diferent flavour". Nothing wrong with argies, just curious to find out about other interpretations of the GJ string.

So, what are your suggestions and why?

Thanks!

I've used D'addario GJ strings for a while when I thought Argies I was getting were inconsistent. Argies used to come with a dead sounding string or two right out the package. The Argies are now very consistent in the last year or so.

The D'addario strings have a good even tone and break in quickly. The wound strings are a bit mellower as compared to the newer Argies and turn pink quickly. Meaning the silver plate wears of showing a copper tint. The D'addario string do not have a loop end which makes getting the low E string through the string ferrule's hole a little tricky. Still I like them very much, but I still opt for the Argies.

Gitane Strings are very tinny on my guitar and don't last long.

Martin silk and steel strings were nice but don't have the tone I like. Low E string was difficult to feed through the string ferrule.

I switch between 10 gauge and 11 gauge sets even though I mostly use 11's. Sometimes I wish Savarez would make a 12 gauge set just to try out.
